Kulm Golf St. Moritz

Golf Paradise Surrounding Kulm Hotel St. Moritz

The Engadine has been known for more than 100 years as the golf paradise of the Alps, distinguished by an unequalled panorama and incomparable landscape characteristics. The Kulm Golf course is nestled harmoniously in the high alpine landscape, thus making golfing a unique experience.

At the end of the 18th century, English spa and holiday guests prompted the mowing of a 1,860 metre stretch of mountain meadow to form a fairway. In 1891, the first 9-hole golf course was created next to the Kulm Hotel in St. Moritz. It became today's Kulm Golf Course. This makes it the oldest golf course in the Alps, possibly even of the continent.

The St. Moritz golf architect Mario Verdieri and the Kulm Hotel designed a new concept for the historic greens in 2001 and brought the course up to date for today's needs. Nestled in the captivating Engadine mountain landscape, the new 9-hole golf course is both appealing and demanding. The golf site, with one of the highest altitudes in Europe, now has a course uniting the original landscape with high-tech golf architecture.

The par 27 golf course and its driving range, with 16 teeing off sites and two putting greens, offers both beginners and experts challenges enhanced by the magnificent view of the lake and the beautiful high valley of the Engadine.
