Miles Davis Lounge
The lounge is a place where connoisseurs and music lovers come together to enjoy a drink in a pleasing atmosphere. It is with 125 square metres is the largest in the Engadine and is open to the general public. The beautiful wood panelling, floor to ceiling panoramic windows that share the views of the beautiful countryside, lead one to believe that Ernest Hemingway must have once sat here!
Round-Midnight-Concerts
The Miles Davis Lounge is the latest addition to the Festival da Jazz. From Thursday to Saturday, this new venue rounds off the evenings with a series of «Round-Midnight-Concerts». As the name of Thelonius Monk’s favourite jazz standard suggests, the concerts start around midnight and feature mainly excellent Swiss bands.
Each concert lasts for an hour. Furthermore, it is also the stage for jam sessions – musicians can play and improvise as they please here. This new jazz club will continue to run in winter.
